A look into the mind and life of Babylonius, beyond Peak.

Too darn hot

Lets get this out of the way, it’s too fucking hot in the northeast right now. As I drive to a science center with my wife and daughter, having shot down a suggestion of a trip into the city, where it’s going to be like 110F, I can’t help but think about nothing else beyond how painfully hot it is outside and wonder how my wife convinced me to leave the relative comfort of my house…. probably had a bit to do with how hot she is…. who knows.

After the initial furor of writing posts cooled down it’s been a relatively quiet week. I’ve done a much better job of prioritizing my time, focusing on getting Mechagon rep to Exalted and getting the parts for Rank 3 Purification, manapearls for Benthic fear, and the big AP WQs. This has made it much easier to survive the day, and spend less of it at my computer.

Mythic this week went pretty well, I died on our Sivara kill because I only had one person help soak my overwhelming debuff. However this enables me to call clears for our group, which I like to think is what got us the kill. Radiance went smoothly and I played well, calling out movements and somewhat taking charge. I sat out Behemoth cause it was my turn, and I’m not torn up about it. It’s got great gear but seems like a very unfun fight. Our attempts on Ashvane went well and I played pretty well on it. We expect to see it nerfed a bit going into next week, so hopefully we’ll get it down and move to Orgozoa.

I’m going away the week after next, so next week will be very telling as to whether or not I’m performing well enough to stay on the raid team. If I decide to step down from the raid team then there’s plenty of things for me to do with the guild and in-game; heroic raids with both teams on two Monks, other characters to level and gear up, other guild activities, maybe even a Peak community Monk-only weekly raid. I’ll be able to continue my work on Peak as very little of what I do is based on actual high-end experience.

My self-imposes deadline approacheth.
